How to create a group leader account

  1. Click on "Register" in the upper right corner.
  2. Start typing the name of your institution in the indicated field.

    If you find your institution in the drop-down menu, then select it and click on the yellow "Select" button.

    Otherwise, click on "enter new institution here" and enter the requested information on the following screen.
  3. If your institution was in the drop-down menu, you will be asked to confirm that it is the correct one. Check carefully all the information. If it is correct click "Confirm". Otherwise, click on "No - enter new institution".
  4. Next you need to create an account for yourself as a member of your lab.

    To do so, start typing your name in the available "PI Name" field. If you find your name in the drop-down menu, then select it, click on the yellow "Select" button, and skip to step #7.
  5. If you do not find your name in the drop-down list, then click on "enter new lab head / PI"...
  6. ...and enter your name and email address on the following page. This creates a PI entry for you in the database.
  7. Next enter your email address and shipping address.
  8. Select a password. It must be between 8 and 64 characters long, and have at least one letter, one number, and one symbol.

    Read the "Terms & Conditions" and the "Data Privacy Terms". If you agree with them, click on the corresponding check boxes.

    Click on the "reCAPTCHA" and then on "Submit".
  9. You're almost done !

    You will now receive an email with a link. Click on the link to confirm that your email address is correct, and your registration at the European Plasmid Repository is complete !

    Note that until you have confirmed your email address by clicking on the link, you will not be able to login to the European Plasmid Repository website. If you don't receive the email within a few minutes, please check your SPAM folder.
  10. If you now log in to your account and click on "My Dashboard" in the menu bar, you should see a button that says "My Lab Members". If this is not the case, then contact customer service at info@plasmids.eu . Most likely someone else created a PI entry for you with a different email address.
